Welcome to Independence, VA!

Founded in 1850 by a group of "independents", Independence is the county seat of Grayson County in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Southwest Virginia.

Independence is a great little town at a crossroads. The crossroads of Highway 58 and Highway 21, of the Crooked Road and the Great Lakes to Florida Highway, of simple life and new technology, and of rural life and new developments.
